About

What is the Communicators’ Collective?

Led by Founder, Angela Donadio and a strong team of industry leaders, the Communicators’ Collective is a gathering of established, women professionals who are actively living out their God-given calling as authors, speakers, podcasters, media hosts, and leaders of national or international organizations.

The purpose of the group is simple: to champion professional female Christian communicators. The “how” is even simpler: to build authentic community through annual retreats.

This is where the encourager goes to find encouragement.
This is where soul care meets sisterhood.
This is
Communicators’ Collective.

She holds a Master of Leadership and partners with her husband, Dale, to lead River of Life, a diverse church near Washington, D.C. • Welcome Girlfriends! I’m Laura!I am no different from you. I want to live the abundant and effective life God has planned just for me, to be in His perfect will – but often times I miss the mark. I am such a work in progress.

The truth is: I talk way too much; I over-think everything; I have been called ‘flighty’; and (to quote Beth Moore) “I’m blonder than I pay to be.” Yet, in spite of it all, today I walk in freedom and joy in a way that escaped me for many, many years. I am so grateful!

Because of God’s love, grace, and healing, I have an unquenchable desire to know Him more deeply. I am committed to applying His Word to my life so I can continue to grow and mature. I feel compelled to testify to His character as a redeemer of broken thinking, broken hearts, and broken dreams. He certainly is all of those things to me – and dear friend, He is for you, too.

I’m married to Pat, the man I met when we both had parts in an Italian opera at our local community college. He had the role of a non-singing priest and I played an Italian peasant in the chorus! That meeting, when we were both 20 years old, led to a friendship – then a courtship – and now a marriage of 39 years. We are polar opposites of each other; he is laid back, calm and thoughtful – and I am…well, the opposite! We ARE the same on the important things, though – our lifetime commitment to the Lord, tending to our marriage, and devotion to our family.

Many things have changed for us over the years – but those three things, in that order, have remained the same.Just like you, I wear many hats! Along with being a wife to Pat, I am mom to Patrick, Grant, and Matthew, mother-in-love to Angela, and “Nonie” to our beloved first grandchild, Evelyn Grace.

I am also a speaker, author, life coach, and host of the Still Becoming Podcast. I LOVE to encourage my sisters to grow up in spiritual and emotional health and wholeness, to become who God created her to be. It’s never too late!

My first book, Still Becoming: Hope, Help and Healing for the Diet-Weary Soul was released in December 2022.

A few other favorite things… Sitting by our firepit on a cool Fall evening; sitting under our big old maple tree with a book on a warm day; any time we are together as a family; a long chat with a good friend; make-up, jewelry, and all things ‘girlie,’ perusing vintage markets and being a Nonie!

  • Welcome, Friends! Thanks so much for stopping by to visit. Maybe you’ve read one of my books, heard me on the radio, attended a conference, or maybe you’re just browsing and looking for hope. Grab a cup of coffee, and let’s pretend we are sitting at a coffee shop together.

Please allow me to share with you a little about myself, my family, and why I’m so passionate to help others find hope.I am married to Steve Harling. Together we had four kids and now have fourteen grandkids.

Looking back on our married life together, we’ve had the opportunity to travel all over the United States and to many different countries around the world. My husband has a huge global heart.

I often say when I married, Steve he gave me the world. In addition to being an author and speaker, I am a certified coach with The John Maxwell Team.

I help those looking to move beyond their personal obstacles to live life intentionally with purpose and passion. I offer mastermind classes and seminars on leadership, communication and personal growth.

In addition I offer personal coaching for those looking to grow emotionally, professionally or spiritually. One of the reasons I am so passionate about helping you find hope, is because I know what it’s like to feel hopeless. I am a survivor of both breast cancer and childhood sexual abuse.

I understand what it’s like to feel stuck and what it takes to overcome those obstacles. I learned to shift my focus. Praising God was the key. As I learned to lift my praise, my attitude became more positive and confident hope was the end result.Friend, Jesus is the Hope Giver.

He said, “I am the resurrection and the life” (John 11:35). He is able to bring hope out of the darkest horror. I know. I’ve personally experienced Him as my Hope Giver. If your life circumstances feel dark right now, ask Jesus to come close.

Praise God by faith that He loves you and cares about you. Thanks for letting me share my heart with you. I’d love to speak at your event, meet you in person, and share a message of hope.

    Blessings and Hope,Becky

  • I’m Mary – a true southerner who loves the indoors. Yes, that’s right; the indoors. I like a comfortable chair and some AC. Have you been to the South in the summer? It’s like living in hot soup. I do appreciate a great view and enjoy sipping a sparkling soda on my deck, but only when the humidity is low and the temperature is comfortable.I’m passionate about my Jesus, my people, travel, my work with speakers, and finding the next great thing. Whether gadget, app, tool, or resource; I’m an early adopter! When I’m not working, you’ll find me snuggled up on the couch with my guy and our two rescue dogs, Butch and Toby, reading a great business book.

Our Statement of Faith

THE BIBLE IS TRUTH

We believe the Bible to be the only inspired, trustworthy and true, without error, Word of God.

2 Timothy 3:16-17

THE DOCTRINE OF THE TRINITY

We believe there is only one God who eternally exists in three persons: Father, Son and Holy Spirit.

Matthew 28:19

We believe God wants to be in relationship with us, so He sent Jesus. Jesus lived a perfect life on earth, took our sins upon Himself, died on the cross, conquering sin’s hold on us, and miraculously rose again. Because Jesus died for us, we can be a part of God’s family for eternity. This is the best gift ever.

John 1:1; Matthew 1:18,25; Hebrews 4:15; Hebrews 9:15-22; 1 Corinthians 15:1-8; Acts 1:9-11; Hebrews 9:27-28

RELATIONSHIP WITH JESUS ABOUT HOLY SPIRIT

We believe when you surrender your life to Christ, God sends His Holy Spirit to guide and direct you. Holy Spirit brings love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, and self-control. Holy Spirit can also release His power to preach and communicate and use the Believer as a vessel to perform miraculous signs and wonders throughout the earth.

John 14:15-26; Acts 2:17; Ephesians 1:13-14 ;Luke 4:14; Galatians 5:22-23

ETERNAL LIFE

We believe in eternal life for believers and eternal punishment for unbelievers. By believing in Jesus Christ as the Son of God, we get to spend eternity with the Lord in Heaven.

Matthew 25:31-46; 1 Thessalonians 4:13-18

ABOUT THE CHURCH

We believe the local church should be composed of apostles, prophets, evangelists, pastors and teachers and they are needed to equip and empower the Church body to influence culture. We also believe, the Church is a community of Believers that God uses to bring Divine solutions, creativity, love, healing, encouragement, miracles and growth to humanity.

Ephesians 4:11-16; John 1:12-13; Acts 1:8Galatians 3:28; 1 Corinthians 12:12-31, 1 Corinthians 12:28

ABOUT YOU

We believe that God created all human beings in His image and that all life is sacred and valuable. We also believe that you have talents and God-given abilities that can be used to glorify and enjoy God. Your creative expression can be an act of worship towards the Ultimate Creator.

Psalm 139:13; Isaiah 49:1; Jeremiah 1:5; Matthew 22:37-39; Romans 12:20-21; Galatians 6:10

We’d love to get to know you.
